Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus is extending its professional development collaboration with Comfori Sdn Bhd to offer Master of Business Administration (International) to professionals in West Malaysia.

The Master of Business Administration (International) program will be delivered with a mix of ONLINE and in-person engagement, with students expected to attend the final 2 terms of study in either Swinburne’s Sarawak. The in-person engagement shall be hosted at Comfori training centre in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Master of Business Administration (International)

The Master of Business Administration (International) course is a general management postgraduate qualification that empowers students to pursue careers in unstructured work situations and workplaces that are ill-defined; technologies that have not been invented; and scarce natural resources that may be at its peak. The course provides integrated business management education to pre-experience graduates qualified in either business or in non-business academic disciplines as well as post-experience graduates preparing for strategic leadership roles and responsibilities.

By applying experiential learning pedagogy, students will embark on workplace-related projects to develop the capability to engage and deal with uncertainty whilst developing skills in strategy, leadership and innovation.

To be eligible for the award of Master of Business Administration (International), students must complete 15 units of study (200 credit points) comprising of 14 units of study (12.5 credit points) and one (1) double unit of study (25 credit points).

Full Time MBA

There are 4 terms per year and each term consists of 10 weeks of teaching and learning. Full-time students will undertake 8 units of study per year that comprises of 2 units of study per term. Each unit of study has a minimum 6 hours of class contact time per week or its equivalence. Classes are normally held on weekday evenings, or on Saturdays.

Covid-19 Considerations?

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the course will be delivered fully online. Learning will be supported by optional in-person* tutorial session over 24 weekends per term jointly organized by Swinburne Sarawak and Comfori Sdn Bhd instructors. Normal course delivery shall resume when it is safe to do so.

Entry Requirements?

Applicants should have:
• Completed an appropriate undergraduate qualification at a Credit level from a recognized academic institution, or
• Completion of an appropriate undergraduate qualification but not achieving a Credit level may be admitted, subject to a minimum of 5 years working experience in the relevant field. Applicants with a recognized bachelor degree in Business may be eligible for exemptions up to 4 units of study.

English Requirements for Local Students?

Local students will need to provide evidence (Transcripts or letter from your previous university) that your degree is delivered in English.

English Requirements for International Students?

  • IELTS:
    - Band 6.5 (Academic Modules) with no single band less than 6.0*
  • TOEFL:
    - Paper-based: 550 with Test of Written English (TWE) score with no band
    less than 5.0
    - Internet-based: 79 with no band less than 20

    *IELTS results must not be more than 2 years old at the time of application.
